I was driving by a Lightcurve van on the highway today. They are an internet provider company that recently rebranded – most likely due to a bad reputation. They have the cutest Otter as their new mascot. I say “the cutest” because it’s an Otter – there is no Otter that isn’t the cutest. But will the Otter turn their reputation around? And, did anyone think to ask the Otter if it wanted to be associated with a flailing internet-providing company?
The company is marketing otterly fast, otterly reliable, pawesome internet service. It’s cute, but I have no idea if it’s true. I hope the actual brand can delight as much as the mascot, otherwise they’re just dragging the Otter through the muck with them. And, I highly doubt he’d be down with that because if we did ask he’d say he prefers unpolluted (no muck) freshwater with minimal human disturbance.
