A salesperson doesn’t need to verbally pump up, exaggerate, and cheerlead what they are selling. They need to share relevant information and recommend what will solve a problem. I’m not talking about being enthusiastic about what you’re doing or offering. If it’s worth doing, I hope it’s worth being enthusiastic about. But there’s nothing worse than when you feel like you’re being “sold” or “handled.”
