To get someone’s attention you need to talk about one of two things: surviving or thriving. And, it needs to be emotional. Without emotion nothing happens. As much as we’d all like to believe we’re making calm, logical, unemotional decisions…it simply isn’t true. We need to feel how our life will be better with the decision we are making.
If you’re not talking to me about how I can survive or how I can thrive, I’m not paying attention. And, if it doesn’t make me feel emotional, I’m not taking any action. If you give me a bunch of facts and figures, I’m bored and probably already scrolling Instagram looking for my next dopamine hit. Tell a story with your marketing and make it a compelling one – otherwise there is no attention and definitely no sale.
